| Keep your students’ nonfiction reading on track with Trackers Blue Series, a collection of 8 high-interest books and teacher support materials to focus mainly on nonfiction text features and main idea skills. The reading levels within the blue set range from one to two years below grade level, making it ideal for intervention. The Trackers series was designed to provide struggling readers with multiple opportunities to apply and practice nonfiction reading skills and strategies. The Trackers series scaffolds students through reading nonfiction by including: - Informative call-outs to further develop main idea skills
- Timelines, indexes, maps, and tables that display information
- Engaging photos that encourage reluctant readers
- Easy-to-follow main idea text passages with supporting details
Included in the Teachers' Resource Guide is a standard-based lesson plan for each text. Each lesson plan includes suggestions for introducing, reading, and revisiting the text. There are also recommended extension activities, with two related reproducibles per title to reinforce skills and strategies. |
