| Connectors is a series of high-interest, nonfiction books with embedded support for encouraging authentic peer learning, or reciprocal reading. It provides students with time to actively practice and reinforce comprehension, vocabulary and oral language skills. With Connectors, each student takes a turn being the leader in the discussion, prompting peers to think and talk about each topic of focus using key comprehension strategies. Research is encouraged along the way to deepen understanding. Connectors also solves the problem of "what to do with the others" while you’re working with small groups during guided reading instruction, intervention, or individual conferencing or assessment.
