Assess Now Software
Update (new printing feature in
Data Reports tab)
This update will provide you with the ability to print the reports
generated in the ‘Data Reports’ tab of the Assess
Now Data Management and Reporting tool. |
IMPORTANT! BEFORE
DOWNLOADING THE UPDATE:
- Be sure to exit out of all Assess Now programs you may be
currently running.
- Locate the Assess Now folder on your PC or MAC (see
instructions below to locate this folder) and copy it to another
location on your computer as a backup file.
PC Version (13.3MB)
- Download the new file from the button above. Save the file
to
your Desktop. It will download as a ‘RANN.exe’ icon
with a check mark. Please make sure you are not running the Assess Now
software while performing this procedure.
- Locate the Assess Now folder on your PC. The spot in which
you will most likely find it is: C:\Program Files\Assess Now
- Copy this existing Assess Now folder to
somewhere else on your computer as a backup precaution. If things go
wrong with the update you can simply re-insert this folder and
everything will go back to normal.
- Make sure the .exe file is called RAAN.exe. If it is not,
you will need to rename the new file to be the same as what you have in
your folder.
- Add the new RAAN.exe file (the download) by copying it to
the Assess Now folder. It will ask you if you would like to replace the
file. Click OK or YES.
- You will now be able to relaunch the software as you have
done in the past and everything should be in the same state as before.
- To test if this update was successful for you, log in and
go to the Data Reports tab. Do you see the Print button located
underneath the Group Reports box on the left side of the screen? If so,
your update was successful! If not, please contact technical
support for further assistance.
Mac Version (13.4MB)
- Download the new file from the button above and unzip the
file. Once the file is
unzipped, you should have an icon named RAAN. This will show up in the
same place as the zip file (usually).
- Right click on the RAAN icon and select Get Info.
- In the Name & Extension field rename the
file Assess Now.app then close the Info panel.
- Copy this existing Assess Now folder to somewhere
else on your computer as a backup precaution. If things go wrong with
the update you can simply re-insert this folder and everything will go
back to normal.
- Locate the Assess Now folder on your Mac. This may
vary from machine to machine.
- If you’re not sure where this folder is,
first try opening the Macintosh HD (picture of a hard drive on your
desktop). This will open the finder window.
- Open the folder named Applications.
- Open the Folder called Assess Now.
- Open the folder called Assess Now Data.
- Add the new Icon “Assess Now”
to the folder.
- A copy dialogue will appear. Click
“replace,” which will overwrite the old file.
- You will now be able to relaunch the software as
you have done in the past and everything should be in the same state as
before.
- To test if this update was successful for you, log
in and go to the Data Reports tab. Do you see the Print button located
underneath the Group Reports box on the left side of the screen? If so,
your update was successful! If not, please contact technical support
for further assistance.
